Background

I have always enjoyed word games, particularly the classic Bookworm by Pop Cap. I was delighted when Nintendo released a version for the Gameboy Advance - I took that game everywhere.

I have since discovered that King.com have released a variant on this game entitled Word Link, the difference being that you can play competitively in the hope of winning cash prizes.

Financial motivations aside, I thought writing a solver would be fun.

Program

Codebrain Word Searcher

The program:

  1. Generates a random board.
  2. Attempts to find words with 3 or more letters which are present in the supplied dictionary.
  3. Ranks words based on a score.
